Recommendation & Reflections

This subsection focuses on the Group's reflections on a project (what could have been done better?) and recommendations for future development

Reflection

First of all, throught the Project, the Group, got an idea of how it is to work with a one, specfic user, and tailor a design process, according to their needs. This is a valuable lesson, that would provide a helpful experience in the fututre. However, it did not go as flawlessly, as it could have. One of the aspects, that could be kept in mind to work on in the future, was the caseholder's engagement in the Co-Design session. The caseholder was not very engaged in the process of coming up with new products ideas (a lot of that owes to Anne's preferences), which could possibly have been more encouraged by the Group. Yet, the sessions proved to be useful, with finding out a lot about Anne's design preferences in terms of detailing and more advanced design stage, but more throughout outcome of these sessions could have been likely achieved. Aside from that, the "usual" skills of the students were excercised once again in this Project - involving time managament, 3D moddeling, and prototyping.

Recommendations

In a case of further developing the Group's concept in the future, a few things shall be considered. Firstly, the prototype, made by the group, is not entirely representative of the mass-production quality of what the concept could have been. Therefore, with abandoning Arduino, which is a very simple and a low-tech solution (yet, the one that was feasible for prototyping), more developed electronics part could be used. In that case, it should be still considered that the concept is not meant to be a high-tech solution, competing with, for example, smartwatches, as those have more versitile usability. It should still be targeted towards mainly people struggling with fatigue, therefore having limited usability and hence, a lower price range - which could make it distnict from a regular, rather expensive, smartwatch. Addionaly, the aesthtical quality of the watch shall be emphaized to make it further comprtetive - as smartwatches usually go for more of a modern and minimalistic design - this watch has (or can have) much more of a classical look.
